How do I create an account?

Click Sign Up in the top right corner and follow the steps. You'll need to provide your email address, create a password, and choose whether you're a customer or tradie.

How do I post a job?

Go to Create Job and fill in the details: what you need, where, your budget range, and urgency. You can add photos to help tradies understand the work. You can post public jobs visible to all relevant tradies, or direct jobs sent to one specific tradie.

How do quotes work?

Once you post a job, tradies can submit quotes with a price breakdown, proposal, availability, and optional terms. You can view all quotes side by side, message tradies to ask questions, and accept the one you prefer. Quotes can be simple (labour/materials/other breakdown), itemised (detailed line items with quantities and unit prices), or informal (a quick ballpark figure for smaller jobs).

Can I pay invoices online?

Yes, if the tradie has connected their PayPal account, you'll see a Pay with PayPal button on the invoice. You can pay using your PayPal balance, bank account, or card. The payment goes directly to the tradie. Tradie.im doesn't hold your money — payments are processed directly by PayPal between you and the tradie.

How do reviews work?

After working with a tradie, customers can leave a review with a 1-5 star rating, written feedback, and optional photos. Tradies can respond to reviews publicly. Tradies can also leave reviews for customers they've worked with, helping the community identify reliable customers.

What are Cheers?

Cheers are a way to show appreciation for tradies on the platform. Customers earn cheers through activity (posting jobs, leaving reviews) and can give them to tradies. Businesses with more cheers rank higher on the platform. Cheers have no cash value and expire 3 months after being earned if unspent.

Features include smart search that lets you describe what you need in plain English, an AI chat agent that suggests professional replies to customer messages, an AI writing assistant for quotes and invoices, voice to text transcription, AI review summaries, smart availability that analyses your calendar automatically, an AI support agent, and AI-powered changelog summaries. AI features use Anthropic's Claude and never send messages without human approval.
